Overview

The American Heart Association’s (AHA) ACLS Provider Course will reflect the latest guidelines. ACLS teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). The goal of the ACLS Provider Course is to improve outcomes for adult patients of cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies through early recognition and interventions by high-performance teams.

**The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

Who is this course for: 

  • Can be taken as an initial course or recertification course (depending on skill and ability)

  • Course consists of:

    • 1. Online Pre-test

      • Must be completed before class

      • Instructions how to access pretest sent out in pre-course email

      • Student must create an AHA account to access Pre-test

      • Bring printed Pre-test completion to class

    • 2. In-class/Hands-on Learning

      • Apply ACLS to the CRMC environment

        • Learn about CRMC processes, how to use the Zoll defibrillator, discuss the Lucas

      • Complete adjunct airway and high quality compression stations

      • Megacode practice and testing

      • Written test

  • Self-study of EKGs before class is highly recommended.

  • BLS certification is not included as part of ACLS certification.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 7 days before the course will be refunded. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date and instead funds will be applied to a rescheduled course. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].

Cheyenne Regional reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
