LEADERS IN ADVANCED NURSING PRACTICE COURSE

This course enhances APRN skills as leaders in practice and policy. Through seven in-person weekend sessions across Wyoming, participants build collaborative relationships and advanced leadership skills through the FutureSync International Physicians/HealthCare Leadership Program. WYPCA will provide book studies, meals, lodging, and coordination of community visits with local healthcare leaders and cultural sites.

COURSE SERIES DESCRIPTION: This comprehensive 7-part leadership and organizational development course series is designed to address critical gaps in team effectiveness, leadership capability, and organizational health across todays complex and rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Healthcare professionals, including nurses, providers, leaders, and support staff, are increasingly expected to navigate change, collaborate across roles, influence outcomes, strengthen workplace relationships, and contribute to high-performing teams, often without formal development in these essential skills. This course series provides practical, evidence-informed frameworks and tools to strengthen emotional intelligence, communication and relationship management, influence, team engagement, strategic and critical thinking, change leadership, accountability, and resilience. COURSE SERIES OBJECTIVES: The primary objectives of the series are to expand participants self-awareness and leadership effectiveness; strengthen communication, collaboration, trust, and team cohesion; improve strategic thinking, decision-making, and accountability; and build the capacity to navigate change, workplace challenges, and sustained demands with greater resilience. COURSE SERIES PARTICIPANT OUTCOMES: As a result of participation, learners will be better equipped to apply practical leadership and team-development strategies within their roles, contribute to healthier and more engaged workplace cultures, strengthen interdisciplinary relationships, respond more effectively to change and complexity, and positively influence team performance, organizational effectiveness, and the overall healthcare experience.
